Opening of the GAP Concert Store SoHo, New York November 12th, 2009

The 23-year-old actress, who recently said that she and Adam Duritz met after Counting Crows dared her on Twitter to join them on tour, met up with JustJared.com on Thursday (November 12) at the opening of the Gap Concept Store in New York City’s Soho to chat about her new movie, Dare.
“It’s about three high schoolers in the last semester of high school and it’s kind of a love sex triangle,” Emmy, whose character’s a part of the triangle, shared.
As far as the Gossip Girl threesome episode and how Dare compares, Emmy said, “I saw the last episode. They’ve got nothin’ on us! That was just some innocent kissing!”

| Emmy Rossum Berated By Alan Cumming In This EXCLUSIVE 'Dare' Clip |
[05 Nov 2009|01:09pm] |
Have you heard about "Dare," directed by Adam Salky? It follows three high school pals -- played by Emmy Rossum, Zach Gilford and Ashley Springer -- from very different social circles and their complicated relationship with one another. In the clip below, Rossum's character Alexa, an aspiring actress, is told she doesn't have what it takes by Grant Matson (Alan Cumming), who appears to be the school's drama instructor.
The movie, which hits theaters on November 13, is based on Salky's same-titled short film. Enjoy the clip!

[03 Nov 2009|10:17pm] |
Standing in a spotlight, in front of a lush red velvet curtain at the Trustees Theater, actress Emmy Rossum looked very Hollywood as she accepted the "Young Hollywood Award."
The award was presented as part of the Savannah Film Festival on Monday night.
President of Savannah College of Art and Design Paula Wallace touted Rossum's range before presenting her with the award.
"In one breath she takes on a daring role in the art house picture 'Dare,'" Wallace said. "Then she plays a knife-throwing ninja warrior goddess in 'Dragonball Evolution.'" [more & video here]
